“The Trojan War has
provided themes for drama ever since the Ancient Greeks. Andrew Rissik uses the
traditional story of the siege and fall of Troy to examine different attitudes
to war through a series of linked monologues by the leading figures of both
sides. It is a sour war that emerges, the Trojans locked into a concept of
behaviour that they know is leading them to annihilation. In the midst of it is
King Priam, helpless to avert the doom that must fall upon his city and
himself.”
